Clare Family Resource Centre and Brigit's Garden Childcare Centre
intend to offer a FETAC Level 5 Childcare Provider Training, 1 or 2 years, part time
beginning this September, in Ennis
This programme will be offered in response to an increasing demand in Ireland for trained childcare practitioners and a growing interest in Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education. Learn why Waldorf is the fastest growing educational impulse in the world. The holistic, child centred and developmentally appropriate methods arising from the work of Dr. Rudolf Steiner will be explored in this programme.
Course work will include:
child development: body, soul, and spirit • natural rhythms and seasonal festivals
simple crafts and home skills • storytelling and puppetry • health and parenting issues
developing your artistic self • practical work with children • bringing children into nature
holistic assessment of a child's gifts and needs • meditative practice as a tool for childcare
the importance of creative play • direct practice and observation in Waldorf settings

FAS funding will be available to qualifying participants.
